This is a great meal when you use additive/preservative-free sausages. You can buy them in bulk, making this meal very cost effective. This is a guaranteed meal to satisfy the kids. Our main go-to meal is slow cooked curried sausages – which is one of the most popular recipes on our website, but this one is also great.

My daughter absolutely loves this recipe… the bowl is licked and every bit is eaten.
Yummy recipe, easy to make ahead of time.
Can I just put the sausages straight into the slow cooker without cooking first and leave it on for longer?
Sure can, the skin will just go a bit soft and gooey, that is the only reason we cook them a bit first.
I am doing tonight but dont have the bone broth powder or the thermo stock so will have to change it for now
I always boil my sausages and take the skin off even I do this
Need to source out some preservative free snags too!
My husband described this meal as ‘next level in flavour’!! I’ve never cooked my sausages in the frypan before when making devilled sausages in the slow cooker – but so glad I did. More flavour and they didn’t fall apart. Such a tasty meal, hubby did say to take it up another notch next time can I add a sliced apple :) very happy with this recipe, thank you!!
I don’t have a slow cooker, can I put this in the oven instead? If so, do you think 30 minutes on 180C would be enough?
Hi Sarah,
I would suggest quickly browning of the sausages first in a pan then placing in the oven with an oven-safe dish.
30 mins would be enough cooking time i would think.

Shane
