How good is your slow cooker, I mean seriously! Apart from our Thermies we couldn’t live without our Slow Cooker too. These curried sausages are one of the most popular recipes on our website! They are totally delicious and we think you and your family will love them.
You may like to use our homemade curried powder, it’s flavour is amazing! You can also use our vegetable stock paste and tomato sauce!
Ask around your local butchers to find additive and preservative-free sausages. Most sausages contain preservative 223 which is an additive we like to avoid.
If you can’t find beef sausages or you want to try sausages, then feel free to grab any additive and preservative-free sausages you like.

Ingredients
- 10 beef sausage
- 1 brown onion
- 1 carrot
- 1/2 c frozen peas
- 2 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tbsp. vegetable stock paste
- 50 g plain flour (gluten-free works well)
- 30 g tomato sauce
- 10 g worcestershire sauce
- 350 mL water
- 2 tsp. brown sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the sausages in a frying pan until cooked through. Then either leave whole, or chop into bite-sized pieces, and place in a slow-cooker or oven-safe dish.
- To make the sauce, finely dice onions and carrots then add them, along with the rest of the sauce ingredients, to the slow-cooker or oven safe-dish and stir well.
- Cook in slow-cooker for 6 hours on low or 4 hours on high. If using an oven, cover the oven dish with foil and cook on medium/low (approx. 150ºC) for approx. 1.5 hours. Stir occasionally and add more water if needed.
Amazing recepie, I added 1 tin of coconut cream to the slow cooker. Thanks for the amazing recepie
Would this work with the bbq sauce? I just made some but not the tomato. Can’t wait to try it!
Thanks
Hi Nadia,
We have not yet tried but, we cannot see why it would not work. Give it a go and let us know how it turns out!
Warm Regards,
Shane
Great recipe 🙂 I have curried sausages in my slow cooker for dinner tonight and it smells divine. Thanks for the idea! Haven’t made this dish in ages.
Really simple and tasty. Kids loved it. Will be a regular rotation in our house hold.
This is a family favourite in our household. I’ve been making this at least once a fortnight . We never have leftovers which is a real testament to the recipe x
