These wholefood pikelets are perfect!  We don’t think anyone will know they are made with real ingredients.  The store-bought pikelet mixes are filled with awful additives that your body does not need!  This recipe you simply need to put all your ingredients into your machine and mix – it’s really as simple as that!

Ingredients

  • 200 g spelt flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 30 g rapadura sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. bicarb soda
  • 1 egg, large
  • 200 mg rice or almond milk (or cow's if you would like)
  • 1 handful of organic, dark chocolate chips
  • Butter or coconut oil for frying

Instructions

Thermal Cooking Method

  1. Place all ingredients into mixing jug and mix for 10-15 seconds/speed 3/reverse.
  2. Drop spoonfuls into a hot greased frying pan. Flip when bubbles appear. Cook until browned on each side.

Traditional Cooking Method

  1. Place all ingredients into your blender/food processor and mix for 10-15 seconds/medium speed/reverse.
  2. Drop spoonfuls into a hot greased frying pan. Flip when bubbles appear. Cook until browned on each side.
