These wholefood pikelets are perfect and we don’t think anyone will know they are made with real ingredients.  The store-bought pikelet mixes are filled with awful additives that your body does not need!  This recipe you simply need to put all your ingredients into your machine and mix – it’s really as simple as that!

Ingredients

  • 200 g spelt flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 30 g rapadura sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. bicarb soda
  • 1 egg
  • 200 g milk of choice
  • 1/4 c dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c butter

Instructions

Thermal Cooking Method

  1. Place all ingredients (except butter) into mixing jug and mix for 10-15 seconds/speed 3/reverse.
  2. Melt 1 tsp butter in a medium hot frying pan and add 1/4 cup batter to cook one side. Flip when bubbles appear and cook on the other side.
  3. Place on a wire rack to cool and repeat until all the batter is cooked.

Traditional Cooking Method

  1. Place all ingredients (except butter) into a bowl and whisk together.
  2. Melt 1 tsp butter in a medium hot frying pan and add 1/4 cup batter to cook one side. Flip when bubbles appear and cook on the other side.
  3. Place on a wire rack to cool and repeat until all the batter is cooked.
