The store-bought pikelet mixes are filled with awful additives that your body does not need! This recipe you simply need to put all your ingredients into your machine and mix – it’s really as simple as that!

Ingredients
- 200 g spelt flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 30 g rapadura sugar
- 1/2 tsp. bicarb soda
- 1 egg
- 200 g milk of choice
- 1/4 c dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 c butter
Instructions
Thermal Cooking Method
- Place all ingredients (except butter) into mixing jug and mix for 10-15 seconds/speed 3/reverse.
- Melt 1 tsp butter in a medium hot frying pan and add 1/4 cup batter to cook one side. Flip when bubbles appear and cook on the other side.
- Place on a wire rack to cool and repeat until all the batter is cooked.
Traditional Cooking Method
- Place all ingredients (except butter) into a bowl and whisk together.
- Melt 1 tsp butter in a medium hot frying pan and add 1/4 cup batter to cook one side. Flip when bubbles appear and cook on the other side.

Can I substitute Spelt for some other flour please?
Hi Jean. You can use whatever flour you wish however the use of Spelt Flour is wake make this recipe wholefood. Any other type of flour contains wheat.
