Words that come to mind when I think of Vanilla Bean Bath Milk – luxurious, extravagant, Cleopatra, relaxing, enticing…. what about you – what do you think of??

This recipe is all of those things and more – it is so easy to make, fairly inexpensive and, we’re sure you are going to love it!

Note – I have used this in my spa and have never had an issue. However, I do let my jets run clean after the spa is empty, to purge anything that is left in the pipes.

Ingredients

  • 500 g bicarb soda
  • 500 g milk powder
  • 3 vanilla bean pods
  • 500 g magnesium flakes or epsom salt

Instructions

  1. Split the vanilla bean pods lengthways, to expose the seeds.
  2. Scrape the seeds out of each pod and mix all ingredients, really well, in a large airtight container.
  3. Leave for at least 2 weeks, to infuse the vanilla into the mix (Note: the longer you leave it to infuse, the more vanillary it will become).
  4. Add one cup to the bath, then fill with warm water. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
