Words that come to mind when I think of Vanilla Bean Bath Milk – luxurious, extravagant, Cleopatra, relaxing, enticing…. what about you – what do you think of??
This recipe is all of those things and more – it is so easy to make, fairly inexpensive and, we’re sure you are going to love it!
Note – I have used this in my spa and have never had an issue. However, I do let my jets run clean after the spa is empty, to purge anything that is left in the pipes.

Ingredients
- 500 g bicarb soda
- 500 g milk powder
- 3 vanilla bean pods
- 500 g magnesium flakes or epsom salt
Instructions
- Split the vanilla bean pods lengthways, to expose the seeds.
- Scrape the seeds out of each pod and mix all ingredients, really well, in a large airtight container.
- Leave for at least 2 weeks, to infuse the vanilla into the mix (Note: the longer you leave it to infuse, the more vanillary it will become).
- Add one cup to the bath, then fill with warm water. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
