This Mexican Spice Mix is fantastic to make TACOs, our Mexican Pulled Pork, Burritos or even to rub over some chicken or fish.  It’s super simple to make but the best thing is, it’s got zero preservatives!   Store this in a glass jar, tie a little ribbon and recipe card around the top and you’ve got yourself a cute little gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp. ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp. mild paprika
  • 1 tsp. mixed herbs
  • 1/2 tsp. chilli powder (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

Thermal Cooking Method

  1. Place your cumin and coriander into the jug and dry cook for 2 mins/80ºC/speed 2.
  2. Add everything else and mix 5 seconds speed 6.
  3. All done, how simple is that!

Traditional Cooking Method

  1. Place your cumin and coriander into a medium heat fry pan and dry cook for 2 mins or until fragrant.
  2. Add everything else to a blender and blitz until a fine powder.
  3. All done, how simple is that!
