It’s a common complaint when cooking spaghetti bolognese in your thermo machine that it goes like mush and the mince isn’t chunky. Well, I have solved that issue. This is the perfect spaghetti bolognese mixture with tonnes of hidden veggies! Your whole family will love this and you will not believe that it is done in the thermie.

Ingredients
Sauce Ingredients
- 1 brown onion
- 2 garlic clove
- 5 button mushroom
- 1 carrot
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 red capsicum
- 6 fresh tomatoes, (or 1 can of tomatoes)
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. mixed herbs
Mince Ingredients
- 150 g tomato paste
- 500 g lean mince
- 500 g pasta (I use the Macro organic pasta) or zoodles
- parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and quarter onion. Roughly chop carrot, zucchini, and red capsicum. Place all sauce ingredients into your mixing jug and blitz for 6 seconds/ speed 5. Add olive oil and cook 10 minutes/100ºC/speed 2.
- Add tomato paste to the sauce. Put the mince into your basket and insert it in the mixing jug on top of the sauce. Cook for 20 minutes/ steaming temp/ speed 2. Every now and then mix the mince using a spatula through the hole of the lid. Be careful as its HOT.
- Cook pasta in boiling water with a little salt and oil as per packet instructions.
- We love this served with grated parmesan cheese.
