This chilli and lime salt is perfect to serve with fish, chicken, pork or beef.  It’s a great all rounder and will add a lovely little twist to your next meal.  It’s also amazing on roast veggies – YUM!

We made up a batch of salts for teachers gifts last year and presented them in these cute little test tubes.  They were very well received! They also make a great gift to any BBQ loving dad for Fathers Day.  They are really simple to make and affordable and you can find loads of flavours by searching our ‘herb and spices’ section.

Ingredients

  • 1 lime peel
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1/2 c white rock salt

Instructions

  1. Place lime peel and chilli into a dehydrator and dehydrate on 60ºC until done. Approximately 4-6 hours depending on thickness.
  2. Place into a high-speed blender and blend on high until fine. Stir through rock salt and store.
