What is BOGO?

BOGO is an acronym that stands for ‘Buy One, Get One’.

Roughly 3 or 4 times a year doTERRA runs a BOGO week, wherein if you buy a specific oil, they will give you another oil or related product for free. It’s doTERRA’s way of helping you get more of the essential oil products you love.

BOGO weeks are incredibly popular for a few different reasons:

  • It can give you the opportunity to stock up on your most valued and used oils.  For example, it’s not unusual to see a BOGO consisting of Buy On Guard and Get Easy Air for Free – 2 of the most used oils throughout winter!  This kind of deal most commonly has a limit of 5 per account which means you have the opportunity to by enough stock to see you through many many months!
  • doTERRA will also throw deals into the mix of oils you may not have tried giving you the opportunity to try new oils and expand your collection, whilst still being economical because you’re getting a free oil to go with it #winning

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to have a doTERRA account to participate in BOGO?
Definitely not.  In fact, BOGO week can be a great way to open your doTERRA account and start your essential oil journey in an incredibly economical way.  Who doesn’t love freebies, right?!  BOGO is open to new and existing doTERRA customers.  If you’re new to doTERRA and you want to participate in BOGO week we recommend you contact us asap so that we can set up your account and get you that daily deal so you don’t miss out!

How long does BOGO last?
​​​​​​​BOGO week usually lasts for 5 days from Monday through to Friday.  doTERRA changes it up every now and then but predominantly this is how it runs.  They release a new deal at approximately 9 am each day via their social media channels and email.

Can I save a BOGO to process with a scheduled loyalty order?
No. BOGOs do not save to Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP) templates. If you save the BOGO to your scheduled loyalty order to process at a later date, the free item will not be included in that order. You must process your loyalty order on the day of the BOGO to receive the free item.

Note:  Only add the item to purchase to your cart and the free item will automatically be sent to you.  For example, if the daily deal is Buy Easy Air and Get On Guard free then only add Easy Air to your cart.  doTERRA will automatically send you On Guard.  

Can I use my loyalty points to buy BOGOs?
No. Points cannot be used for BOGO promotions.

How do I know if my order has been placed and processed correctly?
An order confirmation email will be sent to the email address listed on your doTERRA account.

I missed the BOGO. Can I get an exception?
No. These special offers are available for the specified time period only.

Do the BOGOs qualify to earn Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP) and Shipping Reward Program (SRP) points?
Yes, normal rules apply. To receive LRP points, loyalty orders must be 50+ PV. However, free items do not contribute to PV. All orders qualify for shipping rewards based on the relevant qualifications for loyalty rewards or standard one-time orders.

I’m having trouble placing my order. What should I do?

How to Purchase – Existing Customers

Purchasing on a Standard Order

  1. Sign in to your back office and select the “Shop” tab.
  2. Select the appropriate category for the special that day. For example, if the BOGO is “Buy Easy Air, Get On Guard for Free,” you would select “Single Oils,” search for Easy Air, and click “Add to Cart.” Once you have finished shopping, click “Proceed to Checkout.” The free On Guard will automatically be added to your cart.
  3. Standard orders will not receive Loyalty Rewards Program points; however, standard order Shipping Reward Program points still apply.

Purchasing on a Loyalty Rewards Order

  1. Sign in to your back office and click on your LRP template.
  2. Go to the “Quick Add to Cart” bar and search for the special that day. For example, if the BOGO is “Buy Easy Air, Get On Guard for Free,” search for Easy Air and select it when it pops up in the dropdown menu.
  3. You no longer need to add an additional item for your LRP order to process, but if you wish to earn LRP points, then your order must reach at least 50 PV. (This is necessary in order for doTERRA to continue offering these amazing deals.)
  4. Once you’ve finished shopping, click “Ship Now,” and then continue to the Review Order page. The free On Guard will automatically be added to your cart.
  5. Select “Process Order Now.”
  6. Make sure you adjust your template after for future processing.

How to Purchase – New Customers

  1. Click on this link to join our team and then follow the nine steps (remember by using this link you are becoming a member of Additive Free Lifestyle Oily Tribe and will be joining our team).  Use our ID number – 2103440
  2. Select your language and country of residence (yes we know, pretty self-explanatory).
  3. Choose which warehouse your order will come from – if you’re Australian choose – ‘Local (OTG) Order: Select this option if you wish to order your items from an Australian Warehouse in Australian Dollars’.  If you are outside of Australia select the country which best suits you.
  4. Choose between a Wholesale Customer or Wellness Advocate. Both of these entitle you to a 25% discount on all products but will NOT obligate you in any way to sell or start a business however if you do want to start a business select Wellness Advocate.  If you do not want to start a doTERRA business select Wellness Customer, you can always switch over later if you change your mind.
  5. Fill out the ‘about you’ section of the application with your personal information.  If the form asks you to enter a Sponsor ID ours is 2103440.  It is important you use this ID to join our team.  Continue down the form to ‘create a password’. This is your private password for your Virtual Office, where you will be able to place future orders and track past orders. Please keep this password safe.
  6. Read the Online Terms and Conditions and tick the box to agree.
  7. Now for the fun part – add the Introductory Packet ($35) this is your doTERRA 12-month wholesale membership (it is $25 annually thereafter and comes with a free bottle of peppermint worth $25) to your cart, then add the BOGO ‘buy’ oil to your cart.  At this point, you can also add whatever else you like to the cart such as Fractionated Coconut Oil (great for diluting the oils when applying topically to your skin) or a starter kit, or nothing… it’s up to you!
  8. Once you have finished shopping, click “Proceed to Checkout.” The free oil will automatically be added to your cart.
  9. Yahoo, your order is complete and you’re now in our team! You will now receive ongoing support from us, so check your emails.  Over the next few days, you’ll start receiving a 14-day email series running you through everything you need to know.
