It will be really hard to find out exactly what is in a bottle of store-bought toilet cleaner. You may be likely to just find the active ingredients, but not the full list. This is because, in Australia, companies aren’t required to list the full ingredients. Pretty dodgy huh?!
More often than not, most store-bought ones stink of some kind of bleach, and are filled with awful colours and a whole bunch of other chemicals ??.
Did you know that you can clean your toilet just as effectively in a low-tox way, and is not going to harm your respiratory system from breathing in those toxic fumes but also isn’t going to affect our waterways from toxic chemicals being flushed down the pipes?
Oh, and did we mention it’s also heaps cheaper to make it this way too???
You will need to have your own doTERRA products for this recipe, but it’s super easy to set up your own account and get started.

Hi, I could you please tell me which brand of toilet cleaner can be refilled.
We just use an old toilet cleaner bottle that we had lying around, cleaned it out and used that.
Could you use onguard oil if you don’t have the concentrate?
Yes you could.
What size is the bottle 🍾
It’s just a standard sized one like you would get from the supermarket. These ratios would work for standard sized bottles.
Is there a substitute suitable for the cleaner concentrate?
Hi Sara, You could replace the cleaner concentrate with 15 drops of On Guard essential oil.
Hi, is the Castile soap a must?
No, not a must but but adds extra cleaning power.
