These spiced nuts make a perfect gift idea or simply just to have on your own or take along to a family outing or BBQ.
Both Tracey and I wanted to create something a little different to bring to a family BBQ rather than the standard chips, dip or crackers, so we thought outside of the box a little and came up with these yummy nuts
- 10m
- 30m
- 40m
Ingredients
- 150 g cashew
- 150 g almond
- 150 g peanut
- 70 g brazil nut
- 50 g pepita seeds
- 15 g brown or rapadura sugar
- 30 g olive oil
- 1 tbsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 160ºC.
- Place everything into your thermal mixing jug and cook for 5 minutes/temp 80ºC/reverse/speed 1 or cook in frying pan for 5 minutes over medium/high heat. Then tip everything onto a lined oven tray and spread evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, no need to stir.
- Let them cool on the oven tray for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a plate and spread evenly.
- Leave them on this plate until they have completely cooled. Nuts will crunch up once cooled then store in an airtight container.
Just made a batch of these for my hubby to take to work he is always snacking on brought mixes so thought I’d give these a go , they are delishious! Only thing I would change is a bit less cayenne pepper every now and then it get your throat hehe.?will definitely be making these again .
Definitely going to try this 1. Holidaying in Bali ATM but on the todo list once home. Love nut mixes.
Love this recipe. The flavours develop beautifully after a couple of days. I added more cayenne for family.
Whoops! …for *my family
These are the bomb!
I made these for Christmas gift and they are so yummy. We had to make a second batch straight away as they were too good and we ate too many.
