Tips

  1. You can use whatever veggies you like, these are just what I used when making it.  It’s a great soup for adding veggies that need using up.
  2. If you have some homegrown herbs, then feel free to use those.

Ingredients

  • 1 brown onion
  • 1 whole chicken
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 1 whole broccoli
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 c corn kernels
  • 1 tsp. crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp. crushed ginger
  • 1 tbsp. bone broth concentrate
  • mixed fresh herbs of choice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop all veggies and put into a slow-cooker.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Cover with water and cook on low for 5 hours or until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and skin, and pull apart the meat.
  5. Add meat back into the slow cooker and serve.
