These grain free steak burgers are a real twist on your traditional wheat burgers. In fact, they are more like fritters and you need to eat them with a knife and fork but it still got the thumbs up from hubby. This meal is super filling and something we’ll have again.
Tip: you may need 3 eggs for this recipe depending on the size of the sweet potato

Ingredients
Bun Ingredients
- 1 sweet potato
- 2 egg
- 3 tbsp. coconut flour
- 1 handful of parsley
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. tumeric
- 2 pinches salt
Filling
- 4 sizzle or sandwich steaks
- 1 egg
- lettuce
- 1 beetroot
- 1 carrot
Instructions
Thermal cooking method
- Start by making the mixture for the grain free 'buns'.
- Grate the sweet potato then tip into mixing jug with the rest of the bun ingredients.
- Mix on reverse 10-20 seconds/speed 3, until all ingredients are mixed together well.
- Heat a frying pan with some coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, add a spoonful of mixture and flatten it out. Repeat this until all the 'buns' are cooked. Pop them into a warm oven until ready to serve (around 150ºC).
- Prepare the salad ingredients in between flipping and cooking the buns.
- Cook the steak next, and when done allow to rest under some foil for at least five minutes.
- While the steak is resting, assemble the burgers.
- Hold the burger together with a kebab stick and serve. These are great with a side of chips.

- Heat a frying pan, with some coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, add a spoonful of mixture and flatten it out. Repeat this until all the 'buns' are cooked. Pop them into a warm oven until ready to serve (around 150ºC).
