Who doesn’t love gravy!! If you know us we love gravy and in an effort to add more mushrooms to our diet we decided to make our own mushroom gravy. This is amazing over a nice big, juicy steak or piece of chicken. Even better is to accompany our steak and mushroom pie.

Ingredients
- 8 button mushroom
- 2 tbsp. bone broth powder
- 2 tbsp. plain flour (gluten-free works well)
- pinch salt
- 1 c water
Instructions
- Cook mushrooms in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water into the pan over medium-high heat.
- In a cup, mix together the flour, bone broth powder and 1/2 cup cold water, to form a runny paste.
- Pour the gravy paste into the water and stir continually until it starts to thicken, then turn the temperature down to very low.
- If the gravy is too thick just add a bit more water until desired consistency is reached.
Could I use a bone broth concentrate (not a powder) instead? Maybe using cornflour to help thicken??
Hi Mel, You could give it a go! We have not tried this.
When do you add the mushrooms??
Hi Shaz, Updated recipe thanks for picking this up.
