We don’t really drink soft drink, being an additive-free family it’s not something we like to consume, although I will let the kids have a lemonade if we go out for dinner. It’s a treat and we also #KeepItReal.
In my weekly fruit & veg box, I got a heap of lemons and wondered what to do with them. Then I thought I’d give lemonade a go and I’m pleased to say it tasted just like the canned stuff. It did have less fizz, but the taste was pretty much spot on.
Yes, there’s lots of sugar in this recipe, that’s what lemonade is. We won’t be making a weekly batch but for a birthday party, I think it’s a lovely recipe. It’s still so much better for you than a can of soft drink that is generally filled with fake flavours and a raft of preservatives.

Tried this today. It was delicious. I would love to find a recipe that limits the sugar content but still feel much better than drinking a can of lemonade as I know exactly what’s in it. Also glad to have sugar instead of aspartame (no sugar additive)
