Things you’ll need beforehand:
Silicone moulds such as hearts, flowers, geometric, Christmas shapes, round – whatever you have already.
You’ll also want some small bags – organza or cotton work best, to allow the aroma to seep through the fabric. Small jars are also great, and allow for the aroma to waft into rooms.
Optional: A few drops of natural food colouring or mica powder. If using mica powder instead – we source ours from Natural Good Life – use code ADDITIVEFREE10 for 10% off.
Essential oils: You add these to the stones after they are dry. You can use any essential oils you like to fragrance your home or space. These stones work best in small rooms or small spaces, such as your linen press or delicates drawer. These are also great for caravans to help create a homely environment when travelling.
Some suggestions of doTERRA branded oils are:
Bathroom or laundry – Lemongrass, Lime, Wild Orange, Eucalyptus.
Linen cupboard or delicates drawer – Lavender, Cedarwood, CitrusBloom Blend, AromaTouch Blend.

Ingredients
- 1 c bicarb soda
- 1/2 c cornflour
- 1/2 c water
- 2-4 drops essential oils added to the dry stone after they are set
Instructions
Make The Mixture
- In a small saucepan, whisk together bicarb soda, cornflour and water, then heat over a low–medium heat until runny.
- Remove from heat, and if adding colour, add that now. Allow to cool until the mixture thickens, you can place in the fridge to speed this up.
- Pour mixture into silicone moulds firmly, smoothing the tops.
Dry The Stones
- You can do either: Air dry for 24-48 hours or bake at 80-100°C for 1 hour to speed things up.
- Stones should be firm, dry and chalky.
Add Essential Oils
- Once stones are completely dry, add 2-4 drops of essential oils per stone.
- Let the oil absorb completely before packaging.
