We’re always trying to come up with new sauces and condiments for our website as these types of items are so easy to buy already done, but they’re filled with additives our body just doesn’t need, like Yeast Extract, Caramel Colour, and sometimes much more.
It’s so easy to make your own Dianne sauce, honestly, you really don’t need to be buying the pre-packed stuff anymore. You just need a couple of simple ingredients and you’ll be good to go.
If you like this sauce, you may also love our instant gravy or hearty gravy.

Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. seeded mustard
- 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 c pure cream (possibly more)
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- If you have cooked meat in your frying pan leave any juices and any bits that may have stuck to the bottom of the pan or if you have baked meat in a tray remove the juices and any bits and put them into your frying pan to make the gravy. These add to the flavour of the sauce.
- Crush garlic and add this along with butter to a frying pan over medium heat. Cook until butter is melted and incorporated into the garlic.
- Add in mustard, worcestershire sauce and mix to combine.
- Add in cream, salt & pepper and turn down the heat. Let this simmer until the cream has reduced, this could take up to 15 minutes.
- Once thickened serve over the cooked meat.
My partner came home from having dinner at one of his mates place and would not stop talking about diane sauce he had on his steak. I’d never had diane sauce before so I didn’t really know what the big deal was. After making this super simple recipe, I LOVE it! My partner thinks it’s so much better the day after (If there’s any left over!)
Thanks ladies! YUM!
What worcestershire sauce do u recommend
We get ours from a smaller IGA supermarket that is locally made in Tassie. Not sure where you are, but I think they do ship to other states – https://johnnoshomemade.com.au/ :) Tracey
