This recipe needs worcestershire sauce so make sure you use a preservative-free option as some store bought options contain additives.

Ingredients
Pie Filling
- 1 red or brown onion
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 carrot
- 1 zucchini
- 3 button mushroom
- 1/4 c beef bone broth powder or 1 c liquid broth
- 1/4 c frozen peas
- 1/4 c frozen corn
- 1 celery stick
- 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- pinch salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp. plain flour (gluten-free works well)
Topping
- 6 medium sized potatoes
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 c freshly grated cheese
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to the boil, peel and dice the potatoes and cook until tender. Once they are cooked, mash the potatoes by adding in the butter and milk. Mash until creamy and set aside.
- While waiting for potatoes to cook, peel and dice the onion. In a large frying pan over a medium-high heat add the diced onion and mince. Cook until the mince is browned off. If needed add 1 tbsp. of olive oil (if it's sticking). Drain off excess moisture.
- Dice carrot, zucchini and mushrooms and add them to the pie mix, along with everything else. Cook over medium-high heat until everything is cooked through. Let this simmer slowly so the sauce can thicken. This will take approx. 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180ºC.
- In a casserole dish fill with mince mixture. Then top with mashed potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Cook in the oven until cheese is golden brown, for approx. 20 minutes.
