Who doesn’t love ribs… They’ve got to be tender, the meat has to fall off the bone and there must be a mess eating them, that’s a given. These bbq pork ribs won’t disappoint, we promise!
The marinade is super simple to make, you just need a few spices and that’s it. We love to add some vegetable bone broth powder or liquid for extra goodness, but if you don’t have any then leave it out, however, broth is so good for you it’s worth getting for the future.
If you want a pub-style meal then bake up some homemade chips and after you’re finished let us know what you think. We have a feeling you’re going to love them! If you’d like to check out our BBQ sauce recipe we have an amazing one on our website or in our App.

Ingredients
- 2 large pork rib racks
- 1 tbsp. vegetable bone broth powder
- 1/2 tsp. chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. brown or rapadura sugar
- 2 tbsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 c bbq sauce
- 1 tbsp. white vinegar
Instructions
- Rub all spices into pork ribs and let them sit for 10 minutes. If you can leave for longer then this will only boost the flavour. Tip: Add ribs and spices into a bag and give it a good shake covering all the ribs evenly.
- In your slow cooker, pour vinegar and BBQ sauce into the bottom and place the ribs on top of the mixture.
- Cook ribs on low for 8 hours.
- If serving with some homemade chips, then do this at least 1.5 hours before the ribs are finished cooking.
Is the BBQ sauce and vinegar part of the spice mix? Not understanding from the recipe when these are added.
Hi Catherine, so sorry, we have now updated the recipe so it should all make sense to you now :) Tracey
Could you make these with Beef ribs instead?
Sure could :)
Hi, do you coat the ribs in the sauce or just sit them on top of the sauce as per the instructions?
Sit them on top as the recipe states.
