We are so excited about this episode because we’re interviewing our very first male guest!
Dr Jeremy Princi is an expert in health and wellness and is a registered chiropractor. He provides chiropractic services to the Perth and Bunbury communities. He has authored research papers, has developed a food supplement to improve gut health, and is currently writing a book on fermentation.
Our conversation revolved around Jeremy’s own story on how he became a chiropractor and how his own health challenges led him to teach fermentation and gut wellness.
Some of his suggestions were really lifestyle-changing advice that we hear a lot, like eating whole and unrefined food, having adequate sleep and getting high quality filtered water. How these habits affect your gut on a much larger scale is what’s really enlightening!
Jeremy also shares some more uncommon advice like how learning to ferment your food can improve your gut health or how eating while in a stressed state can be bad for your gut health.
Listen to this episode to hear some interesting studies that support Jeremy’s approach to healing your gut. And as promised here is the discount code for the water filtering system which Jeremy recommends.
This is the water company: Zazen Alkaline Water and the discount code is “HLWATER”
What Jeremy didn’t mention (but emailed us later) was… Showering with a filter is equally as important, some studies suggest even more important as the heating process creates toxic by-products that enter through the skin and worse the vapours through the lungs and thus directly into the bloodstream, without detoxification. When we drink water at least the kidneys and liver can detoxify.
Some questions we ask:
- What is the gut? It’s more than your stomach!
- How do you begin learning more about your gut health? What diagnostic tests can you start with?
- What inexpensive steps can you do at home to improve your gut health?
- What are the health benefits of seeing a really good chiropractor?
